So im on flonase, allegra, and I usually take benadryl at night. Im into my first month of allergy shots and I have noticed a little decrease in allergies. However, whenever I get sick, I almost always get a sinus infection afterwarRAB because my sinuses are swollen from allergies to begin with. In fact, i have one right now. Oh I also do nasal rinses twice a day.

So, my dr. suggested Astepro. He said its similar to Astelin, but 'improved'. Does anyone use this? Does it work for you? I just tried 2 sprays tonight. And will do again tomorrow night. My dr. gave me samples.

Is it worth a try? He said it may help a lot with swelling because its a direct antihistamine into the sinuses.

oh man I HATE allergies.

I suffer with major allergies and taking allergy shots. I was just miserable when I went to get my last shot. My doctor gave me .15 astepro, two squirts each nostril. It really seems to be working great. I can't tolerate regular antihistimines, high blood pressure and they make me feel really bad. But the astepro is working great, day 3. I would give it a try, but look for the .15 solution. It is newer and seems to work better.

I haven't tried the Astepro, but I've been on Astelin along with the Allegra, Flonase and Singulair for years. The Astelin was helpful for me when I added it with the Flonase. I'll be talking to my ENT about the Astepro on my next visit.

As for the immunotherapy, I'm on my second go-round of it. It typically takes 6 months to a year for me to really see a difference.

I currently use astelin, but can't take it during the day because it makes me too tired.

Is the new Astepro once a day, or do you still have to take it twice?

I find that when I take it, it helps with congestion in the short run, (ie right after I take it) but then the overall the drying enRAB up leaving my sinuses feeling "tighter" or more congested!
