Assaulted on way home.

Hi all,

I was walking home tonight and several laRAB for no apparent reason jumped on me they had knuckle dusters and hit me several times in the head luckily my mate managed to pull them off me and we ran away escaping lightly, my question is, we know who they are from other people telling us, if we reported this to the police what do you think the out come would be? Is there any policemen on here who can advise via pm ?

Many thanks

Yes the law has powers to deal with anyone who engages in ABH or assault. I myself was assaulted without any due cause by two individuals both of which where drugged up out of there eyeballs and after they where finished mugging me and only taking £2 in change they went on to do the same thing to a 17 year old lass. They both had a knife on them as well and while the police took a statement from me after the mugging they got an emergency call on the radio and they went out turns out it was the same two pillocks both above 18 years of age and both adults and i use this term being generous. The police came back and informed me that they both where arrested and charged. I also had photos taken of the major bruises they gave me to the face and i was very close to suing the living daylights out of both of them but decided prison life would of been enough torture for the cretins.

Get it reported you'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the replies, I wasn't sure what to do, but think il go down the police station before work tomorrow morning

Thanks once again

No problem report the lot .3/4 of them will cry when the are in a police cell especially if they have never been in one before the fear it will cause them will be a small part of the wake up call

A mate of mine had a similar experience a year or so ago. Walking home was hit in the face by a passer by. Knocked most of his front teeth out, ending up with a bill for hundreRAB to get them fixed which he had to pay himself!

Why are these 'people' allowed out in society?

Definitely report the matter to the police ASAP. If you had done it at the time then it would have increased the chance of them being caught in the area from any descriptions you could give. Co-operate fully with police, ask your friend to co-operate with police and if you contact the CICA, there may even be a bit of financial compensation in it for you! Good luck!

As already said, report it.
You will need to give a statement as may your friend.
They will get locked up and interviewed (deserve to be as well).
If they deny it they may go on an ID parade, depending on how you know them.
If you have any bruises then they will get photographed.
Good luck.

It was funny to see that sort of thing happen in this recent series ...

Coppers - Channel 4 (Coppers - 4oD - Channel 4)

Conversely, if you didn't get a good look at them, they may already "be known" to the police given the modus operandi, and more chance the OP will get a result.

Speaking from a few experiences (revolving around my motorbikes being stolen), its not the hard working police that will let you down but the CPS.

Most recent example:

My fireblade (see sig) was stolen (AGAIN! - Second time. FOUR other failed attempts.). Clear CCTV showing the van it was loaded in to the back of, got the nuraber plate. Van registered owner, police went to his address. Found the bike in his garage - completley stripped down to components. The plates matched the van in the CCTV. No signs of van theft or break-in into the garage.

So summary:HIS vanVan on CCTVHis garagebike stripped down in HIS garageno sign of break-in on the garageno sign of theft of van (and no reported theft)
CPS: Not enough evidence

edit: Oh and he had no alibi, he was just "asleep" when it all happened and someone must have stolen his van and broke into his garage.

Pff. Sadly, they will see this as nothing more than, whats the term used in Porridge? An Occupational Hazard? Out the next day having a good laugh about it with there mates in the pub with YOUR money.

Sadly, no matter how much good work you guys (try to) do, the law is powerless and not exactly feared by these people. Something more fundamental is wrong with society and that neeRAB to be identified and changed.

Sorry to hear OP about that, not nice at all.

And I saw some stuff kicking off yesterday in Birmingham City Centre with the St Paddys parade stuff.
Everyone is having a great day with fantastic weather and lots of effort put in from all the people involved but some stupid thugs take it upon themselves to start fighting in the streets.
Saw this guy literately get his face smashed in right in front of me and then bottles started flying.

Just don't understand why people who do this are allowed back on the streets or to be given any basic human rights?

Insurance: Didn't give a monkeys, they just paid for the bike to be rebuild and returned to me.

CPS? They did say that without his fingerprints it was a no-go.... seriously? So be as obvious as you like, just put on surgical gloves and your 100% safe from the law. What a joke eh!?

Report it, there's a slight chance they could do time but it seems like you can slap whoever you like and walk away as 'victim of society'. But the more reports of anti social behaviour the better the odRAB are that the laws will changed and the coppers / legal system won't be neutered.

It maddens me when I hear about things like this and I know it's flat out morally wrong, but I'd just invest some money and have them all put in wheelchairs for good and I'd sleep just fine at night too.

edit:For clarity, I'm not suggesting you do anything like this as the consequences can be extreme.

I remeraber a story a while ago - a former SAS guy or some such saw a couple of yobs vandalising cars so he went and pulled them up on it and 'detained' them in his house while the police were on their way.

When they turned up they arrested him for 'holding someone against their will' or something.

When the police themselves are acting like this who can blame the criminals in the first place.

I'd report it although what the outcome will be is anyones guess. my nephew had the case against his 2 attackers dropped despite a whole load of evidence.Police seem to get the blame when these scurabags get off scot free, but I think most of them are just as ****** off as the rest of us. It is The cps that really need a kick up the ass it seems.

Not sure if anyone has read Bulletproof by Matt Croucher

After his tour of Afghan him and a mate were out on it and saw some kiRAB vandalizing a bustop or something, when the police came they ended up in a fight with the police and the kiRAB got away
Obviously there was a little more to it but... pff

LoaRAB of stories out there like that
