17 year old Emma is the daughter of the commander of King Henry's empire. Being the only woman at the battle camp, Emma's father has taught her how to use a sword well. Emma longs to fight alongside her father and brother in battle, but her father forbids it. then, one day, Emma overhears about a new solider soon to be joining their battle. Emma quickly falls head over heels for him, after he becomes the only one who knows she has been sneaking into the battle and fighting. He also becomes close enough for her to share her darkest secret- Emma has visions. But after Emma has a weird vision of her lover, assisting her death, Emma starts to wonder- who really is this man she has fallen in love with, and can she tear herself from him to save her own life?
