bike? Am I asking too much? We have two chidren ages three and four. He lost his job as an engineer for general motors a few months ago. as a result we have walked away from the home we just built about five years ago and will go into forclosure. we have move to another state and are living with his brother for about a year while we travel a bit before he looks for a job. He has taken most of our assets and put them in his brothers name as well as most of the money in our bank account just in case the bank goes after his money when forclosure proceedings begin. I am financially dependent upon him and over the last four months him and the group of guys he bike rides with have all goten into two accidents while out riding \. The last accident his brother got hurt pretty bad and ended up in the hospital for days and out of work for over a month. I asked him to track ride and cut down on street riding. And to hold off on street riding until he has a will, because i think that otherwise if he even just gets hurt , me and the kids could be screwed.
so, we do have money saved that will finance our traveling. he also will give his brother a liitle for rent. he just wants to be able to spend time with the kids and i and travel to see things that he may never have a chance to see once he is back working. I am just worried that with the majority of our savings now in his brothers account that i will not have access to it if something were to happed to him....you just never know and if i am grieving my husband (god forbid) i don't want to have to ask my brother in law for money(that is ours) o buy a freaking loaf of bread for our kids.
No mooching. My husband helps his brother out alot financially. He also has fixed thgings on his home and property that my brotehr-in-law could not fix himself and would have had to pay someone to do. we have a good amount of money saved up and can afford to travel. my husband has worked for general motors since graduating highschool and throughout college. Never missing a day of work. he is a workaholic when he does work.
our three year old and four year old both have bank accounts that have more money in them than most adults. so money or mooching is not the issue at hand....just the importance of a will and convincing him of that
