Ask to Dance or Ask Out?

There is a girl in my class that i would really like to ask out but i do not know if she would think that i am going to fast or coming on to strong. Do you think i should ask her out or ask her to dance instead?I am in grade 8 and i would add more detail but i am in a hurry right now.
 
ask her out because if your asking her to the dance you might as well ask her out????

sorry I know I make no sense
 
GO FOR IT!!! what is there to lose? and asking her to a dance is definitely not too fast
