This is always an interesting matter because it only shows how homosexuality (it wasn't even called that) was more of a thing known to exist and be somewhat normal, though of course not in the majority of the population. Almost all ancient cultures and all peoples during the ancient times were open about it. Even the western Asian (Middle East) people where Islam is the faith. They, like many of the countries during the ancient times, had romanticized homosexuality by portraying it in arts and poetry. Ironically, this region is probably the harshest towards homosexuality today.
