As we know, England and France now use the six nations to prepare for the World cup?

Countries like, Ireland, Scotland and Wales seem content with the six nations championship. Do they not know that no one cares about this in England these days and we are only working up oncemore for the World cup.

Congratulations Wales and well done.
Thank you for your replies. Once again, Congratulations to Wales.

However, the six nations has become a means to an end so far as England and and France are concerned. That means that the six nations are practice matches for us.

Very true.

I couldn't care less if we had even ended up last in the 6 Nations.

Aslong as we do well in the next World Cup is all that matters.

Same as I suppose most French supporters feel. Hardly gonna cry ourselves to sleep about it are we.

=]

considering the next work cup isn't until 2011, that's a long time to go without playing any competitive matches.

There are another three 6N's before the RWC...........just watch us Welsh prepare for it!
Unfortunately, we have had a cr@p coach in Jenkins, but things are looking up for Welsh rugby under Gatland!

Congratulations on winning the RWC in 2003 BTW!

If you " use the six nations to prepare" for the world cup then you had better sort yourselves out hadnt you HA typical english trying to put down others glory.

Heh heh you sound like my other half (he's English)!

Never mind, maybe it'll be your turn next year.

Cymru Am Byth!

You're wrong...I care how England do in the 6N's...if I didn't I wouldn't spend my weekends all through February and March watching rugby match after rugby match!!!

And we came 2nd, not bad considering how we played against Wales, Italy and Scotland!!! Thank you again to the Welsh for beating the French by more than 3 points...lol.

I think the French are the only ones who were really willing to sacrifice the six nations for the hope of building up a good world cup team. England still relied on players like Wilko, Balshaw, Vickery, Kay etc. who will all be gone by the next world cup most likely! France brought in a whole host of young players who did surprisingly well considering.

England will never win the world cup again. You are too slow to change, selfish, and unwilling to grow rugby. By the time 2011 rolls around SANZAR will have changed the RWC seeding process, introduced a basket of new rules, and new ways for the game to be reffed - and England will still be basking in the hollow glory of days long past.

EDIT: Von Dipshit, chill out mate, I do respect other great rugby nations including England. The question implied that England is only concerned with winning world cups, and not winning test match rugby.

Fact is, unless England start winning test matches you will be seeded at the back of the grid for the next world cup.

What you don't seem to understand is that rugby is changing and SANZAR is fueling the change. Have you watched any of the SANZAR games being played using the ELVs? Do you think England will embrace law changes? Should England as a great rugby nation not be at the forefront of positive change to grow and expand the game?

No, sit on your bums and moan and whine and grizzel, that's fine, but don't tell me I can't be proud of my national rugby team, and celebrate their winning ways. If you find my posts boring, try watching England kill the ball and kick penalties, while their world champion sevens team twiddles their thumbs wondering if they will ever get a run. England are capable of much better rugby.

sounds like someone is a bit of a sore loser , of course england care about winning the 6 nations!!! they only say that coz they cant handle not winning
da iawn hogia, wedi dod ar cwpan adre !!

don't agree with you Paul. I would think every team wants to win no matter championship it is. Well done Wales
