As much as I hate to say it, the iPhone will start a revolution

I agree with about 99% of mugatu's posts. I also thing the whole touch screen concept will be big.

I used a tablet PC for the last year of my undergrad...it was new technology then, and fairly shitty....but the concept was fantastic and groundbreaking.

The I-phone has a few other really key features (ability to switch to wifi on the fly for example) but I think it is mostly hype.

Cell phones with a touch screen and the ability to play music are not new.

Billion dollar marketing campaigns are (relatively) new.

if anyone is on their high horse about the price - they've sold millions. Is that because Steve jobs brainwashed everyone? No. Its because people hate their phones... To the extent that they are willing to pay $600+ for one that feels good to use.

And does the lack of 3g make a difference? Fuck no. The only people who say that are Internet nerds who compare products based on spec lists.

I resisted buying one , just like I did with the iPod, and now that I have one it is clear that phone companies have to really start considering the quality of their phones beyond the "compare to other phones" button on the damn at&t web site.

who cares if you dont have 3g or hate on apple b/c you are on the OT "e-cool" bandwagon - if youve used the phone, you are a fucking liar if it isnt one of the slickest/coolest interfaces on a phone ever. and the screen is LIGHT YEARS ahead of any cell phone screen - like theres not even a close 3rd place to it

Iphone sucks my ass, i bought one and it broke within a week, i took great care of it too, within 3 days it froze and i had to reset it, then 4 days later i turned it on and it would not get service no matter what i did, so i sent it in a week ago and i still havent heard shit back from apple. on top of that they wouldnt give me a loaner to use.
