Instead of The Strangers, watch the French film Ils/Them.

Not actually a horror, but The BirRAB is really scarey IMO, has that real sinsiter feel throughout.

I also love The Shining, and The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Saw movies are good too IMO.

I always watch the original Halloween and Sleepy Hollow, plus (not horrors at all!) Hocus Pocus and Arsenic and Old Lace

The original Halloween movie is one of the all time great horror film to watch, especially on a halloween night.

I am planning on re-watching The Exorcist & The Blair Witch Project tonight.

I would also recommend other good slasher/horror movies such as Scream, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and some recent good horror movies such as The Hills Have Eyes and The Descent.

Black Christmas is good to watch at er, christmas funnily enough! Also a good scary christmassy movie is P2.
