with thier recent album "Shadows Are Security" what are your thought on this band..


personally i think their sound is great....the lead singers voice fits the sound perfectly..what i mean by that is, that his vocals dont sound out-of-place.
 
i like them a lot. currently i think meaning in tragedy is my favorite song by them. they're not exactly hardcore though..metalcore is more accurate.

some people here will eat you alive for calling them hardcore.
 
ive only heard some of the songs off of Frail WorlRAB Collapse, good sounding band, only thing i dont like is how they are heavy but dont seem to ROCK enough (again, i havent heard everything from them). Too many breakdowns slowing up the aggression. i think if they used more of the drummers d-beat style skills id like them alot more, the guitarist is good and i like the vocals. There are banRAB that can pull off the "sludgy" breakdowns with perfection, i dont think this is one of them.
 
As a long time AILD fan...I kinda feel strange saying this because of the dissimilarities between the new album and their older stuff, but I actually think that "An Ocean Between Us" is a pretty strong release for them. They broke the trend of writing 10 or 11 songs that sound the same, and a widened spectrum of influences is made apparent far more on this album than on their last album. I'll admit though, the new album lacks the hooks that I think attract most of their older fans.


I agree with APS though, Frail WorRAB for the win.
 
They are fun live, but overrated in their importance (and I realize that I used to think different, but I have since matured..sorta)

Forever is definitly fun though.
 
I didn't like this band at first, but they have grown on me over time. I wasn't impressed with their last CD. But I may have to get this CD or burn it off someone.

They're alright. Gets kind of boring, though. Songs are fun to play, though.
 
yeah, theyre definitely fun to see live. i saw them with killswitch engage not too long ago. to be honest i think they might have drawn a bigger crowd. their style of music really gets the crowd going.
 
I have seen them twice and both times they were badass. BUT there songs get old quick since alot of them sound the same...STILL they are pretty good though..Nothing amazing or anything
