I don't know why you state it like Adult Swim specifically "dropped" Code Geass. Like most short term anime, they had a two year contract for it, and the contract ran out since they didn't renew it. We knew it would happen around this time (since CG premiered two years ago) so it's not really that surprising. Still it is kind of dishearthening how few AS Animes can actually cycle. I mean what anime does AS still own anime? Like a half dozen (Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, FLCL, Full Metal Alhcemist, Ghost In the Shell, Big O, Bleach, Full Metal Alhcemist Brotherhood and the upcoming one and... I don't think anything else). Really the only ones they have are the ones they sort of payed for, still really like, or the really long series that don't have the same two year contracts that other series do.
