...protect endangered organisms? Once an organism is gone, its gone forever. Our children will never have the chance to appreciate the existence of that organism, of which is a creation by God.
 
99% of all the organisms that were created by God have since disappeared. What your children don't know about is never a point for consideration.
 
In Genesis 1:26 it said that man has dominion over the animals and earth. We are to conserve our resources for our needs, and not over-hunt animals to near extinctions. I definitely believe we need to be stewards and using our resources wisely.
