Arts and Politics Showcase Topic?? Any ideas?

To graduate from high school, I need to complete a research paper, an original work of art, a presentation, and a reflection paper based on this year's showcase theme: "Arts and Politics"

Any ideas?? These are some my teachers suggested but they are boring:

Education
Environment
Sciences--stem cells
WASL
Cloning--politics rule regulations
Censorship
Immigration
Doctors immigrating

ANY IDEAS ON TOPIC AND ORIGINAL ART PIECE???
