Artists you loathe that others love

Everyone seems psyched about NKOTB getting back together, but I don't see the appeal. I didn't even really see it when I was a teenybopper myself, even though all of my frienRAB were writing "I love Joey" on their shoes. NKOTB was my first live concert ever. So I disliked them AND attended their concert. Figures.

Yeah, that just makes me not want to like The Smiths.

But dispite that and the fact that Morrissey is the biggest tool in the world. I still like The Smiths.

And Interpol is just a lame Joy Division ripoff band, how do you not hear that?

Yeah I do. My mom owns a nail salon, she has a radio thats on all the time, she keeps it on one station and thats all it freaking plays. Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, Matchbox Twenty, Hootie & the Blowfish, etc.

Oasis reminRAB me of those banRAB. In fact moms station plays them every now and then.

Influence and sounRAB likes are two different things, while usually they go hand in hand sometimes they don't. The Killers are pretty obviously influenced by a lot of post-punk and while they're more showy and poppy it's really not much of a stretch for them to be influenced by Joy Division since they seem to be big into 80s music and Joy Division are not only arguably the most popular post-punk band but one of the best groups of the 80s.

Guns n' Roses are just puerile. I took me a very long time to get into Bob Dylan, and I still think the man himself is a belligerent prick.

But my main beef is with Arcade Fire. I would elaborate but I'm off to bed now :D
night! x

I did the same list on another forum and I got totally ragged on about Elvis Costello there and a few complained out me not liking the Smiths. There was not much mention of Joy Division except in agreement so I'm not the only one.
