Artists I Refuse To Like ....EVER

I think im in the same boat as Rickenbacker when it comes to American Idiot. I thought it was alright when it came out and i was quite surprised by it. I had my little (it was little too) Greenday phase when i was a teenager but id stopped before American Idiot and still thought it was decent.

Cant say ive listened to it in a long time now though and may never do again but ill always say that it's not TOO bad. Not like Warning which was always shit.

Im very indifferent when it comes to Greenday now. I used to enjoy Dookie alot when i was in school and i saw them live but now im just indifferent. Don't dislike them but i'll let them get on with their own thing and just not pay attention to it if i dont want to.

Saying that their last album was horrific though.

I don't understand how somebody could go to such lengths on NMH. As it's been said, nothing about their music is inherently bad. Very simple, seldom incredible, but often kind. No songs on 'In the Aeroplane' sound alike either, unless you consider two acoustic songs to create monotony.

As stereotypical as it may be, I have to leave the room when Nickelback comes on the station, as their music legitimately causes me physical pain.

Anyway his biggest hatred was that i refused to admit that Jagged Little Pill was anything but 'whiny middle class bollocks for women with a chip on their shoulder'

The rest of her stuff i'll admit is crap

And cocteau twins are alright. Wedding Present, AARGH!! read a rave review of them in the Herald yesterday. WTF??

Any whiny female singer-songwriter, U2 and I know I'll get **** for this but the Beatles, awful, remeraber it's only an opinion. That's something that some people here don't always allow you to have.

AC/DC is in my top least favorite banRAB/artists of all-time. Absolutely horrendous, and the fact that I used to like them haunts me daily. I mean, sure, I used to like Green Day, but looking back on my Green Day phase, I remeraber their music wasn't always drenched in mediocrity -- AC/DC literally made me waste several months on not growing as a musician/person at all.

It's usually, but not always people over the age of 30 who dislike Green Day as we have all heard it before. There is no sinister campaign! If it helps they all suck- ORABpring, Sum 41 etc. Utter tripe the lot of them.

Oh, also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this but, if someone I used to like played them a lot around me and I eventually disliking the person, I will dislike the band most of the time too. This really obnoxious hipster I slept with last summer ADORES him.

and here's the voice of someone who was already well into his teens when Green Day first hit the mainstream - what the hell is this crap? it's like a polished version of Nevermind for my little sister and her frienRAB. :p:

it's not to say GD is a horrible band but their target market seems to be young teenagers who want to take their first steps away from Disney. considering the description of their Grammy performance i (sadly) don't think my facetious comment is actually that far from reality.

I'd like to try and squeeze into a pair pants with jared leto.
make up or not, he's what I'd like to call fuckable
And I love his eye make up. Without it he looks rather bland and more like a ghost. Not to say he doesn't already look like a ghost but . . .

Yep. I liked Slipknot's last album pretty well too. It had a little of the feel from Stone Sour. Corey's just much more talented when he takes it down a notch.

I disagree with these 4, love em all, i have jagged little pill, fantastic album, i guess you could say it helps me get in thouch with my inner middle class girl? :)

But not that it matters, its your opinion so like what you like and dislike what you dislike, but theres not really any band that i REFUSE to like, if a band has a good song, i will listen to it, even if i despise the band itself, i have to admit, i liked at least a few Creed songs from my own prison even though i could never stand that band in general.

Hahaa yup! Sure do! I don't think it's all bad though because it could perhaps lead some people from Hip Hop or whatever to Electro and Trance... but probably not.

RHCP is a good example of a band that has different matieral on each new album. Of course they are going to have the same sound, to an extent.
Thats like some fan of Pearl Jam complaining about them still sounding the same after 10 years. =)) RHCP keeps their music great, rather than duplicating the same album over and over again.
