I can see that. Even though I love him, he was a very flawed person, and often was very belligerent. He practically abandoned his son Julian. There was this time when John, fed up with his marriage, and being very drunk, basically started listing all the woman he slept with to Cynthia Lennon. Off the top of my head, one of the names was Joan Baez. Anyway, Cynthia didn't know how to react so she just sat there and cried while he listed women. He wasn't regretful of it.

In his later years he showed regret about how he treated Julian though, and I remeraber there was a quote from him where he said he expected their relationship to get closer in the next few years(the quote was from 1980)
