Artist objects to Kung Fu Panda

If you look at the "Art of Kung Fu Panda" book, you'll notice that Po's mother was originally going to be a character in the book and he was going to be an indentured servant of the goose. However, they eventually started to like the idea of putting the goose in a kinder, more parental role and it eventually became what it is now.

I just assumed Po was adopted (nothing wrong with that. After all, Superman was adopted). The thing that actually adds to the comedy of the concept is that they don't make an issue out of it. Everyone in the audience is like "What, how is the goose his father?" and it's a complete nonissue in the movie itself.

Eh, China can get a hair up their butt about almost anything, supposedly there's restaraunts, hospitals, etc. that won't serve Japanese customers because of what happened 60-some years ago, but this, this just makes them look...gah.

No offense to anyone on this board who's sensitive about that stuff.

So, people with green eyes are evil? Ah, now I have an excuse for being turned down by girls with green eyes. It wasn't me, it was them! They were evil I tell you!

Green eyes are EVIL??!

Shayera disagrees.

What the artist should really be complaining about is how lame and unfunny the movie is (I actually paid full admission price and I still regret it, arrrgh).
