Okay, about the character James Purefoy :drool: will be playing. Lot, in many of the legends is the king of Orkney (or Lothian and there's another name associated with kingdom, but I forget). He was married to, in Geoffrey, Arthur's younger sister Anna; and in Mallory, Arthur's older half-sister Morgause. In Geoffrey of Monmouth, Lot is the father of Mordred, as well as Gawain. Lot is almost always noted as being Gawain's father.
The producers of Camelot may combine Arthur's half-sisters Morgan and Morgause into the one character of Morgana; just as they did in The Tudors with Henry VIII's sisters Margaret and Mary into the one character of Margaret.
If they do that Morgana may be married to Lot. Lucky Eva. :eyebrows:

Yeah I don't like how she changed in season 2 in order to get close to Arthur. I really do miss season 1 Gwen and her cute interactions with Merlin :no: And I still don't get all the fuss over her as ZOMG ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN :shrug:

Those quotes were so utterly off the mark and random. The only thing I can think of is that the quotes are from foreign language DVD's, where the dubbing sometimes is inaccurate. But the episode numbers are off, too.

That blurb makes Morgana sound terribly shallow. In the commentary for ep 203, Katie describes Morgana as a spoiled princess, and I didn't even agree with that. Like Neda said, the only time she seemed concerned with fashion was when she was choosing a dress to impress Arthur in 101. She wears the same dresses over and over, throughout two seasons. Come on now! There is much more to her story than just "Fashionista to Witch"!

Wow so much to comment on! :yay: I'm pleased that Morgana is getting so much attention, although it sounds like the show will continue with its childish, slapstick humor.
I wouldn't worry about that, Neda! It says Merlin is listening to her warily, and Gwen rubs Arthur's donkey ears? I think when Freya comes back, she will have Merlin's heart. Besides, they are so intent on playing this GoodMerlin and BadMorgana thing. It does bug me that SHE is asking HIM for forgiveness, when it should be the other way around. But our girl is smart, she knows how to play him.
I am relieved by this, from wordsdiminish@LJ, who posted a great recap:
