Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Hypoglycemia, Cancerous Tissue... 25 year old female- What's the deal?
I'm a 25 year old female. 5'0" 103lb. I eat healthy. I've consciously eaten healthy since I was 13. I exercise moderately.
I was diagnosed with arthritis at age 17, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome at 20, Hypoglycemia at 25, cancerous tissue was found and surgically removed at age 21. And I've been diagnosed with chronic IBS (but I think that's just stress related or something).
And now I'm told that the muscles in my knees and shoulders didn't develop correctly so I need to do special exercises to build up the weak ones around the area.

Another detail: I look fine, you'd never know I had these problems (except for when the arthritis is bad and I have a pronounced limp).

Anyone have any ideas as to what the heck is going on?

MichelleEllyn . . . I sympathize with you. I think some of us just inherited some bad genetics.

I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia at age 16 and situational anxiety. At 25, I was diagnosed with low grade asthma.

A few years later, I had an on the job injury which turned into sciatica and for the last three to four years, I have had osteoarthritis of the neck and shoulders.

I have had IBS, I believe, for about the last 20 years.

I have cervical dysplasia, possible urinary tract problems (trace of protein in urine) and border line cholesterol (though the test was not fasting, so not sure of that) diagnosed at the end of last month.

I will say that I am post-menopausal and age 51, but a lot of this came on during my youth. I also eat healthy but it does not seem to help much.

I have no idea why so much happens to some of us but just know that you are not alone.

Have you tried seeing a rhumatologist(sp?). I have been dealing with all sort of crazy medical issues. My cardiologist was the one to suggest seeing a rhumatologist. Apparently there are autoimmune diseases that could bring on strange symptoms. It certainly could not hurt--I mean what do you have to lose.

Keep us informed of your progress

Thank you so much, it's nice to know I'm not alone (or going nuts, lol)

That's an excellent point. Right now I'm a full-time student, with no insurance, so seeing specialists costs about 2 paychecks for me *blush*
I will try to work that out though, thank you for the suggestion!
