arthritic back pain and impact

I have arthritis in my spine in the lower part of my neck and severe arthritis in my mid and lower back. I was rearended by a car a couple weeks ago. My back hurts more then usual now. Could the impact of the accident intensify or worsen my back condition and or pain from it?
 
it sure can. did you get yourself checked out, to make sure there was no injury to your back? when you feel that your back is starting to ache, try going for a long walk, i find it helps. also, get it checked, you don't want to assume it's the arthritis and it's the cause of something else.
