Ive started on my portfolio to get into college. ive went to counseling and talked to art majors to review my portfolio. apparently its average highschool level. if i need to stand out i need to be at college level. ive been drawing for quite some time. i couldnt believe my art would be average. I asked my art teacher and advisor about my art. apparently Ive been able to put so much detail into my art that ive been only going one direction. I always thought that when you see a vision, you go towards that one vision. But many people have been telling me that you need to change directions and change visions when working with your piece. and the style should change various times when working with a piece. Is that true? should i really be changing styles in the middle of my piece?
