Art personal study, is this a good idea?

I have the idea of doing a project based on the stereotypes of society and groups and what is expected out of each group, music they listen to and how others react to them
like how 'chavs' are supposed to carry guns and want to hurt people and wear trackies e.c.t
do you think that i could do work based on this?

ive been doing watercolours work as that is my strongest and i also like doing mixed media, i am not afraid to experiment though.
any suggestions?

good idea, just make sure it shows its meant to stereotypical, and not just your veiw or something
