Hello, I want to present you my z400 firmware mod you can read about it here:

Art Nouveau mod is being published only on educational purposes. It is also intended only to a private use. The author takes NO responsibility for improper use or anny accidental damage caused by this firmware.
It has been tested on my[author's] phone, as well as by many other users and it works perfectly fine.
What is Art Nouveau mod? [abbrev. ANm]
ANm is modified vodafone firmware [ the best that was on the market - z400buff5] that uses all of it's funcionality, but adds some extra work and debranding.
This mod allows to:
- watch movies on fullscreen!
- full acces to MMC card
- install java on mmc card!
- install java from PC – no internet connection necessary!
- it allows to filesystem acces JSR-75 MIDP permissions
- let's you use themes to customize your phone!
- this FW doesn't set pre-installed folders on your mmc!
- it's partially debranded
- it's got changed some icons
- other listed later
!To instal ANm on your phone you must download the FW package. [4 files]
!! This is no patch so what you get is whole readymade firmawre.
!!! Under No circumstances use any of my previous patches on this FW.
!!!! Since you have to upload all teh FW files it is advisable to back up any of the telephone files! All telephone data, photos, text messages, mp3 as well as telephone book data that is in phon's memory will be deleted.
This don't affect SIM card data or MMC card data, they are safe and can be inside of the phone during flashing.
How to upload ANm:
1. You need fully CHARGED phone, standard z400 usb cable, FW package.
2. Turn the phone off.
3. Run FastMultiLoader [FML]
4. Press together ”9” and power on/off key [the red receiver symbol] keys
The telephone should show:
"SGH-Z400 DOWNLOAD"
5. Connect the telephone to the USB cable.
6.At the bottom of FastMultiLoader you should see DetectCOMxxPort
[where xx is for port number], down there you should also see:
COMxx Ready...
7. In FML chose Control - SMP6275.
8.Click on Modem choose tmqz_AN_mod_v1_stn.bin file.
9. Click on Rsrc1 choose rsrc_AN_mod_v1_stn.rc1file .
10. Click on Rsrc2 choose rsrc2_AN_mod_v1_stn.rc2 file .
11.Click on FactoryFS choose ffs_AN_mod_v1_stn.ffs file .
12. Click Download.
13. Leave the FML so it can uplad ALL files
14. After 5-10 minutes it should finish uplodnig. On telephone screen you should see starting animation for a moment and then a blue screen. It's perfectly OK, don't worry.
15. Now the telephone will show you 3 messages and after each it'll ask to wait couple of seconds, leave it to do it. Then it restarts.
16. The phone should now restart and ask you for PIN number.

Languages
* as the FW was intended for Polish users it starts with Polish language and t9 dictionary, you can change that easily [to change language press: menu > # > 1> 2 > joystick, and choose preffered languge]
the major part of the working time on this FW was spent on adding proper Polish translation and working Polish t9 dictionary. The ones which were in this FW were only partially working.
- Polish language and t9 dict. is instead of Turkish
Service codes
* all fo the service codes have been changed accordingly:
- admin menu: *#00*# [from *#3695147*#]
- internals: *#00*# [from *#3971258*#]
- pre-configuration: *#00*# [from *#83301*#]
Java
* you can install java applicatins easily on your MMC card it's jus enough to
make a directory named Java on the MMC and put all the files inside so you
don't have to install applications via OTA [via grps/edge]
REMEMBER to put all the appications/games in separate subfolders!
so the tree should look like this:
MMC
Java
opera
*.jad
*.jar
game1
*.jad
*.jar
quake
*.jad

etc.
!!!Remeber!!! after uploading new java apps/games remember to update java DataBase, in ordrer to do that:
- enter code *#00*# -> telephone goes into admin menu
.choose 4.internals
.enter *#00*#, accept -> you go into internals
.choose 7 storage setting
.choose 2 update java DB
.press power on/off buton shorly to quit admin menu
- All instaled this way apps/games are in:
.menu >.7 organiser and tools>.2 applications

On this FW this telephone has acces to filesystem [JSR-75 MIDP permissions]
It was not possible on any other FWs.
Some of the aaps that need acces to filesystem [ LSP, minicmd, etc]may
ask you for the permission. In order to avoid constant enquires I have
found a nice solution. In order to apply it you have to:
.1 open app folder
.2 find inside subfolder: appdb
.3 copy into it file: kjxsettings.bin
.4 manually override permissions,
a) menu >.7 organiser and tools >.2 aplications
b) choose app you want to mod
