A friend has moved to NY from St. Petersburg, Russia, where she has graduated from a prestigious Academy of Arts as one of the top in her class. She is looking to move to LA from NY now, and obviously needs a job. She's a sculptor as well as into 2-D & 3-D animation. She has worked on several good animation shows in Russia, plus she recently applied somewhere in NY and was told that he's overqualified for that specific job.
What kind of animation studies in LA she could apply to? He's English is moderate now, so will it be a huge problem if her portfolio is strong? I'm trying to help her out to move here so for that she needs a job. She's interested in various studios across LA...please advise.
