art major in college and career outcome possibilities (help!)?

ok so i was planning on going to college and majoring in animation, but i don't really have any experience in animation so im worried that i wont like it, but i don't know of any good jobs that come out of an art major. i like painting, drawing, pottery, and photography, but i don't know any actual jobs that would use majors in these areas besides an art teacher...i don't want to be a teacher. any suggestions? or should i give animation a try like i had planned to?
 
You do that for the love of it. Artistic talent for the most part is a gene but everybody has some. As for a career any job in entertainment is hard to get.
