I think the game would be poorer without such interventions. Modern moaning is nothing compared to the brilliant gamesmanship people like Shankly and Clough used to get up to.

Shankly once turned up on Bobby Charlton's front lawn before a game against Man Utd, and was chucking stones up against his bedroom window! Can you imagine that today??
