Army wives, fiancees, girlfriends, I have a question for you?

How do you stand being away from your love for long periods of time? I need some advice?

My boyfriend just left for Fort Leonard Wood, MO. It's been 3 days and I already miss him a lot.
 
I'm an AF wife but I can still offer my two cents on separation. 3 days is nothing sweetheart. Army and now the AF deploy LONG periods of time. You need to decide long and hard now if being an Army wife is for you. If 3 days is bothering you, think about a year without your husband raising a child, possibly children on your own. It will take total commitment on your part and his. The military life isn't for everyone so don't make any decisions about a long term relationship lightly. I have been a military spouse for 14 years now and have no regrets but that's me. I wish you luck and hopefully a lasting, loving relationship with your boyfriend and the Army :)
