Army vs. Marines (Gear)?

army has the funding to make everyone a gear queer. the corps is always innovating though, a lot of improvements come through the corps doing more with less and finding better ways to work what we've got.
marines were using camo uniforms in wwii and pioneered the concept of close air support during the banana wars after wwi. we had the pacific campaign already planned out before wwii even started. but if it wasnt for the cash cow of the army, we wouldnt be able to bring a lot of our concepts and tactics to fruition.

Before my last tour in Afghanistan I would have said it was the same but I worked with some Marines and every time I pulled out some equipment they were amazed by it and shocked that it was issued to me for free. They kept saying that if they wanted any of the stuff we were issued the Marines would make them buy it.
The Marines do some things very well, Supplying troops with the equipment they need/want is not one of them.

I think the average US soldier might be a little better equipped. But all in all the US Army is a lot better equipped than the Marine Corp.
