can you enlist under the ged plus program and be qualified for the ranger contract it will be nice if some one can tell me since no one seems to know

Michael is correct but don't let it get you down. It's really easy to get if you enlist as an 11B. You would volunteer to be airborne infantry and work from there. Besides you would probably not make it going straight from basic. It takes some preparing for trust me. You can still be a ranger, it just might take a re enlistment. Atleast then you would be ready for it and not wash out. While you're on contract if you have a really hight PT score say 275+ you can request a 4187 for Rangers. They may offer it to you and require a contract extention. Retention will come for you and you will get to do this well before your 1st enlistments up. If you're planning a career it's no big deal. If you want to get out after a few yrs there isn't much point in going with a ranger regiment. You better be a PT stud and use to almost no sleep. Run 7 miles and walk 7 with a backpack of stones, then drop and do 50, followed by a 400 meter swim to help you get ready.
