Army Moms, wives, girlfriends I need Advice....?

My soldier was just deployed a week ago. We are on the starting stages of a relationship, but looking forward for a long term relationship, and I know we have to build it on the long distance, Any advice, ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you In advance.
 
Letters, letters and letters. Emails- but he won't always be able to access them. You also need alot of patience. He won't be as attentive as you would like. He is going to be really busy and sometimes that 15 minutes of sleep will win over writing to you. Just be patient.

Frankly, if you are truly in the beginning stages of a relationship, I woudl tell you not to put your life on hold. I'd say remain friends and continue to date while he is gone. If the two of your are meant to be together, you will end up that way anyway. But don't commit to anything more than being good friends until he gets home.
