Army Infantryman question?

i signed up in the Army as 11B and i was just curious as to what exactly they do while there not deployed? and also what do you do when you go to countries like Germany,France, and Japan? I know about the war games and the constant training but is that all they do while not deployed
 
they follow the training schedule. What ever is scheduled for specific times for that day is what they should be doing. If it performing common soldier tasks or performing maintenance on their Equipment, or vehicles. basically training, cleaning, maintaining ... and repeat.
 
Maintain their vehicles, clean their weapons, do PT, clean their barracks, mow the lawn, do CQ, do KP, do police call, drive officers and sometimes help combat support soldiers complete their missions (for example, if supply or commo needs an extra hand). Basically, if you are not training they'll find stuff for you to do fill the time. But mostly it is training.
 
Your average week is a lot of training. Basic warrior tasks, combatives,
and of course, there's a lot of downtime. Infantry is a very rewarding, but also very demanding career choice. You will not regret it.
