What are the AR of DoD regulations covering medical privacy. Specifically what a Commanding Officer can and connot do or ask of a medical professional.
Long story short. I know of a Soldier who was at the ER and her Commander came to ask the Doctor specific questions reguarding tests and outcomes. This is a female soldier who was having female problems. The COmmander is male and asked these very specific questions of a Gyno Doctor.
The Commander required this information in the waiting area of a civilian ER in a foreign contry with civilians within 10 feet of the conversation.
I know it violates HIPPA rights as well as the Privacy Act of 1974.
She just wants more information from the Military side.
