Army (Active Duty) vs. Air Force?

I want to join the military but I’m not sure if I want to join the Army Active Duty or the Air Force. I’m looking to go into a medical career (probably nursing) which both of those branches offer training for. I have a Bachelor’s degree, live in Florida and currently work in Admin/ Clerical (which basically is a dead end job & I'm so unhappy). I’m open to anything. I also know about the Army Reserves, which is like one weekend each month, but I want to experience something new so I wouldn't mind moving. I’d like to avoid direct combat/deployment but I’m not sure what that’s based on and if there’s a difference whether you’re female or male… I think everyone gets deployed just based on the military’s need to send people there. I have absolutely no clue about the military and I would like to get other answers based on personal experience. Why did you join the Army vs. the Air Force (and vice versa). Any answer is greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me also. Thanks!

I had a hard time deciding too. My fiance is in the Army reserves and I want to go AD USAF. Mostly everyone ive talked to told me to pick the air force because they have a better quality of life. So thats what I picked but if for some reason I cant get into the air force, ill go army.
