But it is a bit of Hollywood tosh. That's neither an accolade nor an insult. There is good Hollywood Tosh and Bad Hollywood tosh. In your opinion this film is good tosh, and you may be right, but films can be judged only by their aims and whether they achieved them. This film only set out to be a bit of mindless entertainment for undemanding twelve year olRAB, and as such it probably succeeded. It didn't set out to shed new light on the human condition, which is fine, but to call something great, well, that does demand slightly loftier aims. But then again most kiRAB think Harry Potter is, like, the bestest book ever written but that doesn't make it great!
