Arm goes numb/dead while sleeping

I get this also in my left arm. Totally numb. If I pick it up with my other arm, it plops down. It will wake up in a minute or two. I did have back surgery almost two years ago. I have alot of neurological symptoms. I mentioned this to my neurologist but she kind of blew it off. I also have a HMO and am just not getting answers.

Howdy - 2 Years ago I lost my left arm. Up to That Time I've Already had 8 Lower back
Fusions And I'm Still Walking. After Not Being Able To Lift A Glass with left arm. Talked To My Doc Who Is A Nero Sergeon. Had The Fusion Done And Three Days Later I Drove From Saint Louis To Boston non stop.

I have this same occurence while I am sleeping, but it is always my left leg, when it does happen. I thought maybe from sleeping on it too???:dizzy:
