If there are no more details than that which you have provided, the answer is yes. You were in an accident and were cited for DUI.

First offense? If so, go to court and try to talk to the arresting officer--he will be there... ask if you can speak to him and the district attorney... if it IS your first offense, you can probably get them to lower the charges against you to something like Parking on a sidewalk or something... OR it might just reduce your fine and punishment.. However, be prepared because now a days, courts are a lot more strict with DUI and DWI charges. If this is your second offense or second DUI or DWI, then plead guilty and accept the punishment you get.
