Looking at the variety of dim wits that get elected as presidents around the world, we can't do any worse by narrowing the choice of a head of state to one family.
It's part of our culture, heritage, democracy, constitution etc.
As an apolitical appointment, hopefully they are seen as a figurehead that unites the country.

Huge costs to keep them. Why should they be paid for doing nothing.
Elitist, out out of touch with the rest of the country
Undemocratic representation of the UK.
They have no real power and therefore are of no use in an emergency.

Good Reason we should have Monarchy means all responsibility is the King or Queen a person who is Wise and can help lead a nation in dire times.
Bad Reason is Because your giving all power to one person he or she can do whatever they want since the people cant have a democratic vote system since the King or Queen can revoke and deny it. But usually never happens because Kings and Queen tend to be Modest and want to do whats best for the People.
