At work, I have an employee who is constantly coming in late and is constantly using his cell phone. I have finally gotten to the point where I told him the next time I catch him on the cell he will be written up. His retort was pretty much "Well if you write me up you better be sure you are consistent across the board". I told him that "The one who breaks the law the most hangs the highest". But does anyone else have any good logic to use against his "equality for all" point? This is a retail setting and I can only control the people in my department. I am tempted to tell him "What do you want me to do, get on the intercom and make the following page - 'WILL ALL EMPLOYEES PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES! THANK YOU"
