Is there an argument against agnosticism or atheism or something of the sort that states something along the lines of:
You say there is no greater deity
Yet to deny the existence of something you must have an understanding of it
To understand something it must be of the world (or mind? I really have no clue)
Therefore a greater deity is of the world (mind?)
Therefore there is a greater deity
I don't pretend to understand much about philosophy and I really have no clue what I'm saying, but I feel like I read an argument similar to this that was attempting to refute an argument stating that a greater deity does not exist.
I've been looking for it and just can't find anything. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy.
And I do understand that if an argument like this did exist you could use it for anything (aliens ect.)
I'm sure what I'm actually looking for is quite different.
I'm looking for an original argument that was written a while ago.
