election of its first black President? And noone thought Americans would ever grow up!
 
Well, whether we have our first black President or our first female President or just another old white guy (lol), it is a historic time in our country and yes, I am glad to be witnessing it. I think we still have a very long way to go though, and I'm afraid a lot of closet racists and sexists will still come out in the coming months. But we are finally making some real progress in challenging stereotypes and negativity and I don't believe there's any turning back from that.
 
how do you know he's going to win? do you know something we don't?

it seems to me history is repeating its self back in the 19th centuary a woman and a black man were trying to get into the white house.

i am glad to say i am able to witness the first female running for presidency and first African American as well. Its a great thing for us. Some may hate it but it only shows their ignorance. Whether you like the candidate or not; show respect for the fact that they are a.. First.
 
Even though I don't agree with some of his views & won't likely vote for him - I think it's absolutely fabulous that we are now a part of what will soon be history. It's long everdue.
 
As the election hasn't been held yet I'll wait and see, but I dearly hope America will elect either a female or a black president rather than another Republican.
