Yes because $335 million towards STD education is really going to put an end to the spread of STD's!! Woohoo!!

Oh yeah what is STD Education doing in AN ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE?

That is coming form the "Stimulus Package" (If it gets passed) How is that going to stimulate the economy? That money should be going for the economy not a paint brush & condoms.

Yes I am.

Maybe sex education will cut down on the number of pregnancies and STD's. That way there will be no need for abortions or kids paid for by the state (a win-win)

Music and the arts should be encouraged, where would entertainment be without them?

And for those who think these don't create job are obviously too narrow-minded to see the bigger picture. But that what conservative pretty much means doesn't it?
 
It's not the governments job to educate children on sexual matters, This is to be taught at home by parents, And if the government does find themselves needing to educate children on these matters, There's a good chance the parents raising those children did not do a very good job, Which is most likely the case with African Americans like yourself, Especially considering that 70% of them are born in single parent homes. So because African American women decide to have children out of wedlock I as a tax payer have to pay for this ? What's wrong with this picture ? Also, Caring about children's education and spending money on it are two entirely different things, And one does not mandate the need for the other, Let me translate for liberals, Caring about education does not mean spending money, And spending money is not necessarily going to guarantee children a good educations. No. This is not what needs money right now. No jobs will be created by this waste of money. This is what is called pork and Obama said there would be no more, but I guess he forgot about his campaign promises already.
 
Yeah right, parents should teach their kids sex education, and Hollywood is getting a big chunk of that money in payback for there support, how is that education !
 
Wow, sex education...who would of thought. Now maybe we can all go broke trying to force kids who don't give a s*** to learn and stay in school. Maybe instead of sex they will choose school (now that someone is finally doing something about it). Geeez....stupid.

Maybe next Obama will come up with putting money towards teaching drug prevention in schools....he's so smart.
 
Yeah, that really addresses the creation of jobs doesn't it? That's what the stimulus package was supposed to do...create jobs. So tell us how condoms and paintings create jobs.

Aside from that...Obams didn't write the bill.

If the Republicans want to challenge the bill...they should have been debating instead of writing their own and conducting a "new study" to prove that it is superior.

Your guys are avoiding their responsibility in order to further their political careers.

You might as well not be represented at all in Congress for all of the good the Republican House member did you.
