Are you too smart for your own jokes?

Do some people don't get your jokes just because they're not as smart as you so then you wish you would be dumber so then they would get your jokes, because making them laugh was the whole point.
 
It's not so much being 'smart'. It's that smart people tend to see the slightest affiliation between different objects and find it "funny".
 
yes all the time and i hate it because you have to explain it and you start to blush a little and then you just say forget it and everything is akward

a lot of ppl dont get my jokes, noy cause i'm smarter(i think),
just cause i skip too much steps, so they dont get it

hmmmmm or maybe i'm smarter :D

Yeah... they don't understand my sarcasm neither but then again I dim them down after I try not to use any sophisticated language although I could use it all the time if I wanted but now it's not in my spirits too...

Edit: No I'm not over confident I'm more of the silent people in the crowd but I never speak out like that. Yes, I cast jokes that some may not understand. Main reason I'm an outcast.
 
Yes! No one understands what I'm talking about unless I go sit with the nerds, and then they all end up sniggering for the whole lunch hour...
 
urrrrm we 'not so smart' people do get jokes, unless thier REALLYYYYY gormy and geeky so we dont find it funny...

its actually the other way around, 'smart' people dont get 'our' jokes cuz they have no sense of humour
