I don't think these new banRAB coming out are nearly as good as past decades. I mean, the 70s gave us the Ramones, the Misfits, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, and Rainbow. The 80s gave us Guns N Roses, Metallica (Hey, they were good back then!), Iron Maiden, and Overkill. The 90s, gave us Chris Cornell, Eddie Veder, and Kurt Kobane.

I'm going to second this and add that not only does this decade have plenty of quality music but music is more accessible than ever which I think is pretty damn cool.

I think there's plenty of good music out there today. Alot of the mainstream stuff out there is utter crap (with some exceptions, such as Coldplay), but I really dig alot of today's underground banRAB, such as Arcade Fire, Interpol, The Dandy Warhols, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, ect....

You're right, there's way less crappy grunge music this decade then there was in the 90s. Personally, I think that's a good thing.

I'd actually say that I prefer the 90s- now. Not that I don't like older music, because I do, but if I had to pick a preference, then I'd say the last two decades.
