Are you satisfied?

I have to say no.

Most of the music around today just does nothing for me (with a few exceptions of course), compared to music from say the 80's or 90's. Most music today is just a rehash of old ideas and is going nowhere in my opinion.

I'm definitely not satisfied with this Music.

I'm talking about in the 90's etc... And there will surely be more stuff from the 00's that you find in a decade that you love then but didn't know of now.

Hey then what are the absolute whoppers of this decade? Foxtrot Hotel, Is This It, Beck stuff...anything else? I say this because I haven't heard many albums from this decade so I am unsatisfied...I need to find these albums :D

Just like any decade, as said, crap under rubble.

The funny thing is, everyone says how easy it is to get access to music nowadays... Well IMO it has helped the old gems a lot more than it has new music overall. People spread the love of golden oldies quickly on music forums, and its easily accessible without trudging through all the crap of previous decades.

In a few years, people will be showing off the stuff they found at the start of this decade, and it will spread like wild fire...

I HOPE people here aren't suggesting they found all the great music they like the first few weeks after it came out... Coz I would smell some BS :p: :D

I see it dying. The hit radio stations are playing more Rock and less rap. i dunno...just seems to be less of the hip thing to be listening to now. But i agree, underground is thriving

I don't think it's anywhere close to dying. Anytime I see any current top 10 or top 40 list or whatever there's usually a ton of rap on it, it's not going anywhere any time soon.

As my tribute to the decade I'm doing 10 reviews of 10 albums from different genres that have been spawned in the noughties. Check out my journal, have one done so far, just awaiting approval.
