Are you really paying the higher insurance prices?

Guess what Verizon Wireless customers, are you really paying the higher prices for insurance with Asurion?

Recently all prices and deductibles increased, but customers who have had coverage for a long time (back when it was cheaper) never notice the price change, even if they move to a phone that is supposed to have higher insurance prices.

For example, I have the Motorola DROID, an advanced device. You are supposed to pay:

$6.00 per month for WPP or $7.99 for Total Equipment Coverage (extended warranty incl.)
$89.00 deductible

My account is being charged:

$5.99 for Total Equipment Coverage
$50.00 deductible if I ever need the insurance for my DROID.

hrm, I wonder if it's just a grandfathered thing or they forgot to switch it for you account. I'm pretty sure I'm paying the higher pricing.

It may be grandfathered or is a blanket system error.

EVERYONE I have spoken with who have just purchased advanced devices but had non-advanced devices previously are still paying the lower insurance rates...
