Are you ready for the collapse of civilization in 2-3 years?

The stock market crash of last year was just the Titanic hitting the iceberg. We all know that by watching the movie, the sinking wasn't immediate. In fact, people still walked around drinking their big drinks having a good old time for a while.

Then panic set in.

Then the crap hit the fan.

The bow is fulling up with water right now.

You betcha...I will fight for my country..I will die so my children can enjoy freedom.I will never stop being American. If our country goes down,I will do everything I can to go kicking and fighting until I can't fight anymore.I will not sit on the sidelines and moan and cry.

Make no mistake that the economy has a long way to go before a true recovery can be claimed. And before that time we will no doubt see many painful downswings.

But to state that we're on the brink of "the collapse of civilization" is just foolish hyperbole. The world (and the US) has suffered through much worse trials than economic collapse.

To continue your metaphor: There were many survivors from the Titanic. And future ship design was made better by the disaster. So it will be with the economy now.

The stock market crashed under Bush's failed leadership.

But not Obama's. We're back above 10,000--when in November of 2008--we were sitting at 6,800.
