Are you in a band and what are they called?

I'm in a band. We're called 'Biguana' and sound somewhere in the region of Incubus, Lost Prophets etc. I sing and attempt to write songs, although the second of those neeRAB some work.

Who else is in a band, what are you called and what do you sound like?

Is this the right place to post threaRAB like this?
 
I've given up trying to work with people who are limited in creativity and want to e the closest thing to a cover band without being one.

I am solo, and I play piano/guitar (kinda)
 
I'm not formally in any band, but there are a bunch of people who I play with often, and two particular groups that could take off into banRAB. The first would be a basic jam band, but really extended jams, basically jazz rock. The second is sort of like the first, but the people in it don't really know what they're doing (except for me, not to sound arrogant but it's true), and the goal is way more chaotic and messy. Sort of free jazzy, but we have yet to add anything outside of the basic power trio to either band, although I'd love to if I get the chance. Both of them, especially the first, are mainly based on improvisation. Spontaneous improvisation, so we just start playing whatever comes into someone's head.
 
oh well....lets try to make the best of it.


im in a band that is currently working on a name change. the sound of our songs varies. some sound similar to old finch while some of them sound sorta similar to a7x. we're working on some harder more metal inspired songs at the moment though.


im also forming a punk ska band with influences like catch 22 and the mighty mighty bosstones with a couple of my frienRAB. that hasnt really gotten off the ground yet though.
 
God its so long though

OKay im in a nu metal band now which i drum in called servants of satan.
Im in a pop pick it up and were like old blink i play bass in it.
Im in a horror punk band called last caress which i play lead guitar and sing in.
im in a screamo band called black heart which i do vocals in.
Im also in a metal band which i play guitar in.

The banRAB pretty much made up of the same merabers with like one change up to the line up so basically its me and my frienRAB looking cool by being in 8324738 banRAB when really its the same people on diffrent instruments :D

a popish one called Shinagami(they need to change the name because they did not like rock idea)

and a rock band called Angels of Destiny(like dispairs ray , malice mizer, Dir en grey(i know i'm speaking a forgien language here as all of those are form Japan)
 
That's great and its even better that you've decided to change the band name depending on who's playing what instrument and what style you're playing. I've never really heard of that being done before (except for when 'real' banRAB go undercover as 'fake' banRAB), but I like it.
 
Ive been in a few banRAB in the past. Started when i was 15 playing guitar with a band called Bad Karma (2 years) in california with merabers of what me worry, coolies market, and the fuck you ups...moved to phx with the bass player when i was 17 and started a band called Section 8 (7 years and tons of shows with lots of well known banRAB gave us a pretty good following, 2 releases and 2 comps) where i played guitar and did some back up vocals and some song writing which featured merabers of Conflict of Interest and Riot 5. After a few years off me and the drummer started The Declaimed which is 1/2 of Section 8 and 1/2 of another phx band Krunk (although the other guitarist is better known as a DJ and the bass player is better known as the bassist for thee illuminatix) This is my baby. I write all the music, all the lyrics, lead vocals, lead guitars, my first shot at fronting a band. Weve gotten alot of positive feedback with this new band from the shows weve played but have taken a short hiatus while our drummer is in NJ. Weve been told we sound like old black flag played a little faster and with more harmonic vocals. I get my writing style from hours upon hours of listening to Malignus Youth which is my favorite band. Id be lying if i said we were anywhere near as good as they were, but the influence is noticeable.
