I voted no.
And anyone you ask will be fairly advanced in age. The last war of defense, to save ourselves and our flag, was WW2. And the Marines at Iwo are long dead. After that, military deaths from other than natural causes and non-combat vocational statistics were due to our intervention and/or aggression.
When endangered as a symbol of our freedom by direct destructive attack from a sovereign nation will ill intent, our flag is to be defended at all costs. IMO, WW2 was the last time that happened.
When not defending ourselves, burning the flag shows disrespect. The voice of a citizen. As another poster pointed out, outlaw it and you've eliminated another avenue of free speech and then flag burning will really pick up in popularity as a protest symbol. TV news will be forced to provide coverage, celebrities like free press and don't mind getting involved, and hopefully the young and mothers will again rise up to voice their opinion about what a crummy deal we're leaving them and their children.
You won't understand that, to you protestors are on an intellectual fear level with liberals and terrorists, but Dono will.
