Stroud's books? Okay, so Dr. Strange has this amulet which absorbs all evil and magic. In The Amulet of Samarkand the amulet too absorbs all magic and protects the wearer. In the book it absorbs Ramutra. In the cartoon movie Dr. Strange battles Doramamu and absorbs all his magic, defeating him. All I'm saying is there are similarities.
