I want to get conclusive evidence if my anti dog barking device works. The range is 25 feet and the dogs in their cage are actually about 28 feet. Before cold weather I would put it in the open window inside the screen. It was a few feet too far away. Between the house and the cage is nothing but air. I can not mount my unit closer to the cage without it being easily detected and stolen or vandalized.
A garage door opener used rollers, you press the button and it goes up and stops. You press the button and it goes down and stops.
I want to utilize this type mechanism to use my barking device.
I have a wooden 6 foot fence 2 feet from the dog cage. The bottom of the fence has a 8 foot 2x4 running horizontal to the ground. I'd like to mount the device and have a metal channel with rollers. After dark, when the device can not be detected, I'll use the remote to move the device to the right maybe 2 feet until it extends just outside the end of my fence. It will be then pointed directly at the center of the dog cage only 5 feet from the dogs
In the morning, use the remote so it moves back to the left and behind my fence to conceal it. I have extra fence sections and can lean one against the fence to further conceal the device.
Can someone help me design such a left to right, and right to left, mechanism that lets me use a remote and not have to go outside two times a day to alter the location of the device. I really see no other way to get it closer to the dogs. I could park my truck by the house and let the device hang from the tail pipe. I would rather not put my truck in a place where it could be vandalized.
Bracket, channel, rollers, two-three feet long, remote control, horizontal mechanism like a garage door opener.
Maybe simple for you pros to help me design. Cost seems minimal.
Thanks
